Terms of Service
These terms define how merchants, agencies and teams may use CatalogWise scans, reports, AI guidance, checkout and implementation workflows.
Service description
CatalogWise provides AI commerce readiness diagnostics for Shopify catalog teams, including public scans, optional connected catalog analysis when approved, readiness scores, recommendation queues, report generation, monitoring, AI guidance and agency workflows.
Accounts
Certain features require an account. Users are responsible for keeping login access secure, providing accurate business information and ensuring that they are authorized to scan or connect a store.
Free scan limitations
The free account includes one saved public scan for one valid store, with anti-abuse rate limits for anonymous previews. Additional saved scans, connected diagnostics, PDF reports, SKU-level affected fields, optional Shopify Deep Access diagnostics and premium AI support require a paid plan, trial or explicit account entitlement.
Crawler and authorization
CatalogWise public scanners may request visible storefront pages, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, metadata, structured data, product URLs, policy pages and FAQ/trust surfaces. Users confirm that they own, operate or are authorized to analyze the submitted store. CatalogWise must not be used to bypass login, paywalls, CAPTCHAs, firewalls, rate limits or other technical access controls.
Shopify Deep Access
Optional connected diagnostics require explicit merchant approval and the requested read-only Shopify scopes. CatalogWise is independent and does not present itself as endorsed, certified or approved by third-party platforms unless a separate written authorization exists.
AI analysis
AI outputs are informational diagnostics. They can help structure recommendations, but users must validate technical changes, copy changes and schema changes before implementation.
Payments, subscriptions and credits
Paid plans and implementation purchases are designed to use a secure checkout provider. The Starter plan may include a 7-day card-backed trial that auto-charges after the trial unless cancelled first. Growth, Scale and Agency plans are paid from the beginning unless a signed order form states otherwise. Monthly included credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over unless a written agreement says otherwise. Top-up credits may expire after the stated credit lifetime, subject to applicable law. Subscription access depends on successful billing and may be cancelled, downgraded or restricted according to the selected plan and applicable law.
Refunds
Refund rules are described in the Refund Policy. Consumed reports, completed scans and delivered implementation work are generally not refundable except where required by applicable law or stated in writing.
Permitted use
Users may use CatalogWise for stores they own, manage or are reasonably authorized to audit. Agencies must maintain client authorization for scans and reports.
No guarantees
CatalogWise helps Shopify brands improve AI catalog readiness, product data quality, structured commerce signals and machine-readable catalog infrastructure. It does not guarantee rankings, traffic, sales, placement or recommendation by any third-party AI platform.
No official affiliation
CatalogWise is not officially affiliated with Shopify, Google, OpenAI, payment providers or other third-party platforms unless expressly stated in a signed agreement. Third-party names may be used only descriptively.
Intellectual property
CatalogWise software, interface, scoring methods, reports and templates remain CatalogWise property or licensed materials. Merchants retain ownership of their store and submitted business data.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CatalogWise is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, ranking changes, sales outcomes, platform policy decisions or implementation changes made by the user.
Changes to the service
CatalogWise may improve, modify or discontinue features, plans and limits with reasonable notice where appropriate.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law and venue stated in the applicable CatalogWise order form or customer agreement. If no separate agreement applies, reasonable commercial terms under applicable European Union law apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
