Understanding evidence, sourceType and limitations

Every dashboard surface should state whether it is real evidence, awaiting evidence, plan-gated, provider-gated, demo sample or QA fixture.

sourceType

sourceType labels where data came from, such as public quick scan, CSV import, PageSpeed/Lighthouse, optional connected Shopify evidence, public evidence estimates, locked plan states or configuration-required states.

Evidence count

Evidence count tells you how many rows or signals support a result. Low evidence means the recommendation needs more validation.

Limitations

Limitations explain what CatalogWise could not inspect. Public scans should never imply private SKU diagnostics unless connected access exists.

FAQ

Where should I go next?

Follow the in-product CTA on the relevant dashboard or public route. If the state is locked or requires configuration, the page should explain the plan or provider requirement.
